Dancehall artist Konshens is definitely staying busy as he is currently promoting his recently released singles “Physically Fit”, “Gyal Ting”, “1000 Forward” and “Winning”. Konshens recently released his video “Physically Fit”, which has received over 120,000 hits in less than three weeks and was recently featured on MTV Iggy. But MTV Iggy decided to feature not one, but two of Konshens videos, the second video is “Jah Never Leave My Side”.
MTV Iggy is a division of Viacom Media Networks, focused on bringing cutting edge global music and pop culture to the U.S. Each video gives the viewing audience a different visual perspective. “Jah Never Leave My Side” shot in the island of Jamaica, reflects on the moments, when all the hype, noise, self-doubt kicks in and you call on the “God” to overcome those moments.
“Physically Fit”directed by Walu, also featured on MTV Iggy gives you a club scene with a male and female captivated by each other and showcasing the dancehall vibe of battling on the dancefloor. With cameo appearances by popular selectors, producer Russian, Shaggy and Ding Dong, this video is definitely a popular one for the mainstream music arena.
Konshens who recently wrapped up performance throughout the United States in Los Angeles, Oakland, Washigton D.C, just to name a few, returned to Jamaica where he completed his “Music For A Cause” charity event.
“We are working to raise funds for each school for a particular project or need the schools might have. As artiste these students look up to us with admiration, we have the power to make a difference in their lives. I am very glad I am able to give back the way I have,” explained Konshens.
‘Music for A Cause’ in conjunction with telecommunications provider Lime Jamaica and beverage manufacturer Pepsi Cola Jamaica made this tour a reality. Konshens visited several high schools while inviting friends and co-workers in the music industry to surprise these students and achieve the goal for the school. Some of the artists who took time out of their schedule were Darrio, Delus, Javada, Popcaan, Aidonia, Tarrus Riley, Zagga, Jahmiel, Dexta Daps, Mixing Lab, Ding Dong, Bling Dawg, just to name a few.
