A Force of Nature Captures California

DownSound Recording Artiste, Nature, invaded California for the month of August to promote his album, Life’s Journey, and was a force to be reckoned with.  The singer flattened audiences from Northern California where he opened for Stephen Marley at Reggae on the River, the biggest Reggae Festival in America, to Southern California where he opened for Steel Pulse in San Diego.

Nature was the only artiste to perform on both days at Reggae on the River in Northern California, and at Reggae on the Mountain in exotic Malibu, California  where he played with Kymani Marley and the Easy Star All Stars.

During his visit, Nature worked with British reggae don Pato Banton in San Diego and performed at the prestigious Roxy in Los Angeles with veteran rockers, the English Beat, and had the sold out crowd in the palm of his hands.

The artiste then blew into trendy Huntington Beach to demolish the Beachcomber with Peter Tosh’s band (the Soul Syndicate/ Fully Fullwood band). Another great voice of Jamaican music, Tarrus Riley (with Dean Fraser) invited Nature on stage to perform a duet at the Observatory in Santa Ana and introduced him as the next superstar from Jamaica.

Not forgetting his Jamaican fans, Nature crushed the LA Yard clubs of Jamaica Gold, Medusa, Zanzibar and the Dub Club where he played to a sold out crowd with Warrior King and Sister Nancy.

Nature says the trip was a magical experience and he’s looking forward to revisiting California soon . “It was  simply amazing, I was invited by Magic! to hang out backstage at their show with rock reggae stars the Dirty Heads and I also met with superstar producer Don Was (Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan) who gave me some serious insight into the music business. I’ve learned so much from these great musicians in a short period of time and I’m even more motivated to spread reggae across the globe.”

Nature’s  album, Life’s Journey was released in June and contains fifteen tracks, including Love You, Trying Man, World Peace and Love is Everywhere. Nature has been constantly promoting the album since its release in the Spring. He invaded the UK in July and blew away the audiences, including opening for UB40 in London. His performance was so well received that he was booked to open their Spring tour 2016. BBC Radio 2 has been championing his Love You single, while the Don of British Radio, David Rodigan has been championing his hit song Black Tracks.

California radio stations including KPFK, Indie 103.1 Radio and KXLU have been playing several singles from the album, which has been submitted for Grammy consideration.

Nature has returned to Jamaica to recover from the onslaught, but both California and the UK are demanding his early return
