DANCEHALL singjay New Kidz recently released his debut album, Check, at Locke City Music Group/Truckback Records’s New Kingston headquarters.

The occasion saw a turnout from several artistes including dancehall king Beenie Man, Tony Curtis, Raine Seville and Nesbeth.

ZIP FM’s ZJ Sparks lauded New Kidz, given Anthony Bennett, for his determination.

“He is open to criticism. It doesn’t trouble him and that is one of the things I like about him,” she said.

ZJ Sparks also accessed the state of Jamaica’s music.

“In Jamaica, I don’t think we take reggae serious enough. Most people call it local music, but it is really international music,” she said.
